Apple reportedly receives certification to sell Brazilian-assembled iPad

MacRumors reported Thursday that Apple has received certification to begin selling Brazilian-assembled iPad 2s in that country. It's only for the 16 GB model, and it would be sold alongside Chinese-assembled models. MacRumors said this would most likely happen when the new iPad goes on sale in Brazil.
There is currently a single factory producing iPhones and iPads in Brazil, with five more on their way. Apple has said it sees "huge opportunity" in that country.
