Tumblr adds native iPad support to its iOS app

Back in November, popular blogging site Tumblr updated its iPhone app to be completely native (as opposed to an app in an HTML wrapper), which brought tremendous speed improvements to users. Now the company has updated its app again -- but this time they've made it universal, bringing native iPad support to it.

Besides the new Tumblr app allowing users to view Tumblr blogs on everyone's favorite tablet, the update also adds Markdown support and a new Explore tab, which makes it easier for users to find new and interesting blogs.
