Join TUAW for Apple Q4 earnings call liveblog at 5 PM EDT today

Well, today the wizards of Cupertino are on the phone again with top Wall Street analysts to report how the company did during the fourth quarter (July - September, 2009). Many analysts are expecting Apple to continue its recession-defying high wire act, with an analyst poll by Thomson Reuters Financial showing an earnings forecast of US$1.42 per share. That's 13 percent over the same quarter a year ago, and higher than Apple's own forecast of US$1.18 - US$1.23 per share.
As usual, we'll be covering the earnings call via CoverItLive. Drop by TUAW at approximately 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT) and join us. Bring your questions, and we'll supply the news and commentary.

Join TUAW at 5 PM EDT for the Apple 3rd quarter earnings call
There's nothing quite as fun as an Apple earnings call! Along with a lot of financial gobbledygook, disclaimers, and carefully-phrased "forward-looking statements", there are also pointed questions from top financial analysts. On occasion, Apple may even bring forth Steve Jobs to enliven the call.
Today is the day for Apple's 3rd quarter 2009 earnings call. Our very own Mike Rose will be leading the team on a liveblog of the event before
The liveblog via CoverItLive will begin here on TUAW at approximately 5 PM EDT, so be sure to join us for the call.
Open thread: iPhone 3.0 upgrade experiences
Something's coming... Since having 100,000 people download a software update is just about as exciting as can be, we're opening up a liveblog in the 2nd half of this post to let you ask questions, share observations and generally get your 3.0 on.The TUAW bloggers will be passing through the chat during the afternoon as everyone has a chance to download and install the new software. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for everyone!
UPDATE: Yes, iPhone OS 3.0 is here and should be available via iTunes. Read more here. We're still covering installs and reports below.
Another update: We are moderating comments, so if yours don't appear, we love you, but we're getting about 200 comments a minute and there's only so much bandwidth. Please be patient.

Also, Bloomberg is reporting that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will review Apple's 10-K filing from last year. Unless you live under a rock (sorry if you're a TUAW-reading snail), then you have probably heard about the Apple event scheduled for today. Since Apple doesn't live-stream their press events any more, we must sit around our Macs, constantly refreshing our browsers ... just like people did in the 'ole days (personally, I can't wait for the Morse Code Apple updates). If you're inclined to follow the whole spoiler live blog thing, then here are a few sites that will be providing live coverage of the event via staffers on site:
We will also be providing a meta-liveblog of the entire event (just like we've done in the past), and will be providing coverage throughout the entire day. You can follow our updates via Twitter, and we also recommend tracking #apple or #macbook on Twitter search. The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (see the chart below for world-wide times).
07:00AM - Hawaii
10:00AM - Pacific
11:00AM - Mountain
12:00PM - Central
01:00PM - Eastern
06:00PM - London
07:00PM - Paris
09:00PM - Moscow
02:00AM - Tokyo (October 15th)
