iPhone Data Usage Survey: How Much Have You Consumed?

Recently, I discussed the process of activating a pay-as-you-go service on the iPhone, where the standard data rate is a steep $0.01/KB, dropping to $2/MB or $0.002/KB with a feature pack. This raised a question about data usage since the iPhone’s release nearly a month ago.

According to my device, I’ve managed 608 KB sent and 2.9 MB received, though this figure might be skewed due to numerous resets. However, this pales in comparison to our colleague David Chartier, who has sent 12.2 MB and received a whopping 59.8 MB.

Curious about your own usage? Head to Settings -> Usage on your iPhone and share your data usage in the comments. Let’s see who can surpass David’s impressive numbers!

An update on the data usage trends: the average seems to hover around 150-200 MB for those not constantly connected to WiFi, with the peak reaching about 2.7 GB.
