Activision Releases Geometry Wars: Touch & Tony Hawk 2 on App Store

With the launch of the iPad, the App Store has begun showcasing titles tailored for the new device, including offerings from prominent gaming companies. Activision has introduced an arcade shooter, Geometry Wars, in a version specifically for iPad called Geometry Wars: Touch for iPad.

Although we haven’t had the chance to play it yet, the game features a new mode named Titans and utilizes dual-stick controls for movement and shooting. Priced at $10, it might seem a bit steep without a trial, but the Geometry Wars franchise is known for its engaging and addictive gameplay.

In line with earlier predictions, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 has also made its debut on the App Store.

Although it’s designed for iPhone and iPod touch, it can also be played on the iPad in an expanded format. This installment is often regarded as one of the best in the Tony Hawk series, and despite some concerns about the touchscreen controls compared to traditional PlayStation buttons, it has received positive reviews.
