Jobs Confirms iPad Launch with Wi-Fi, 3G Features via Email

In a recent communication with a European client, Steve Jobs expressed regret for the postponement of the iPad and clarified the shipping schedule for the device.

According to 9to5 Mac, two European customers reached out to Jobs via email inquiring about the international availability of the iPad.

The initial customer asked whether both the 3G and Wi-Fi versions would be available globally by the end of May, to which Jobs replied affirmatively, apologizing for the delay.

Jobs succinctly confirmed the simultaneous shipment of both models in his reply to a second similar inquiry with a simple “Yes.” The launch of the iPad internationally has been delayed by a month due to higher than anticipated demand, with pre-orders set to start on May 10th.
