How to Run AirPlay on an XBMC Linux System

The technology of streaming media, specifically AirPlay, is no longer confined to the realm of Apple devices. A recent demonstration, which can be viewed on the following page, showcases an XBMC installation on a Ubuntu Linux system that operates an AirPlay client service.

This setup mirrors the functionality of the AirPlayer solution I developed for Mac, utilizing Bonjour for advertisement and allowing direct streaming from iOS video menus.

Moreover, there is growing interest in expanding this technology to other platforms. Several developers have reached out to discuss their ongoing efforts to adapt this service for Windows.

Below is an early glimpse at a project currently under development by @infectionfx.
