Apple Releases iOS Update for AirPort Utility, Adds New AirPort Express Support

Apple recently updated its AirPort Utility app for iOS, enhancing the way users can oversee their wireless networks and AirPort base stations directly from their iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.

The latest version, AirPort Utility 1.1, now includes features for setting up base stations with IPv6 and introduces compatibility with the newly launched AirPort Express.

The redesigned AirPort Express now sports a look similar to the white AppleTV, featuring an additional Ethernet port, bringing the total to two.

It also supports simultaneous dual-band 802.11n WiFi networks.
