Sky Sports iPad App Offers Custom Replay Angles

Soccer enthusiasts (or “football” as it’s known outside the US) have a reason to celebrate! Sky Sports has updated its iPad application, introducing an exciting feature known as Sky Sports 360. This new tool allows users to view replays from more than 20 different camera angles, with options for normal speed or slow-motion playback.

David Gibbs, Director of Sky Sports Digital Media, shared insights with Sky Sports:

“We’re thrilled to enhance the Sky Sports for iPad app further. This innovation places cutting-edge technology directly in the hands of our viewers, allowing them to relive the most crucial moments of the final.

This is the first instance we are offering this feature via our app, marking another step in our commitment to enriching the viewer experience at Sky Sports.”

The feature is already integrated into the iPad app but will make its debut this Saturday, May 25th, during the Champions League final clash between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich. The Sky Sports 360 feature will continue to be available throughout the 2013-2014 season.

The Sky Sports for iPad app can be downloaded for free from the UK App Store and is complimentary for subscribers of Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 channels.
