British Airways Integrates Passbook for Ticketing Support

Renowned international carrier British Airways has recently updated its iOS application to include Passbook functionality, as they had indicated last year.

According to the update notes, “Henceforth, all newly issued boarding passes will be available in Passbook format.

These can be downloaded via the app as usual and are compatible with over 100 airports globally.”

The company anticipates further enhancements to the Passbook boarding passes, including direct integration with the iPhone’s lock screen, expected by mid-June.

While Passbook has achieved a degree of popularity in the United States, its adoption in Europe has been gradual.
