Canary Home Security for iPhone Surpasses $1.25M Funding

Several weeks back, we highlighted a home-monitoring security system known as Canary.

This innovative system monitors various aspects of your home environment such as air quality, vibrations, temperature, sound, and motion, alerting your smartphone immediately if anything unusual occurs.

The system is equipped with an HD camera featuring night vision, enabling homeowners to view live footage of their residence whenever they choose.

Recent updates from MacRumors reveal that Canary has not only reached but exceeded its initial fundraising goal of $100,000 on Indiegogo.

Impressively, the project recently surpassed the $1.25 million threshold, with MacRumors noting it is poised to become the most successful crowdfunded home product in history.

Canary is scheduled to start shipping in May 2014 and will be available at retail for $199.

Below, you can view a demonstration video of Canary in operation.
