This is particularly useful for those times when the mobile version of a site lacks the functionality of its desktop counterpart.

To use this feature, start by tapping the URL bar to open Safari’s “favorites” view.

Once you’re in this view, it should look something like the following image.

Next, perform a downward swipe from just below the URL bar.

This action will reveal two new options: “Add to Favorites” and “Request Desktop Site.”
