Recently, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook announced a generous contribution of $291,791 to the Steel Valley School District in Pennsylvania.

This donation honors Bill Campbell, a former Apple board member who resigned in July after serving for 17 years.

The district, which is located in Campbell’s hometown of Homestead, Pennsylvania, plans to use the funds to provide iPads to all its students and to train teachers on how to effectively integrate these devices into their classrooms.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the initiative is set to be implemented in the 2015-2016 academic year.
