While specific details of the deal remain undisclosed, it is speculated that Apple might integrate Semetric’s capabilities into its Beats Music offering. The Musicmetric dashboard could potentially offer artists and record labels a comprehensive view of their performance across various platforms including iTunes and Beats Music streams.

This acquisition comes on the heels of Apple’s significant investment in Beats Electronics and Beats Music, totaling US$3 billion last year.
