Apple is preparing a major upgrade for its retail presence in Louisville, Kentucky. The company plans to invest around $1 million to renovate its Apple Oxmoor store.
The store, located on Shelbyville Road, opened in 2019. However, Apple now aims to refresh its design and improve the overall customer experience.

According to permit details, the renovation will focus on both interior and exterior improvements. The plan includes replacing exterior cladding in the store’s courtyard area.
In addition, Apple will upgrade a 659-square-foot section inside the store. These changes suggest a mix of structural updates and aesthetic enhancements.

Experienced Contractor Leads the Project
Apple has selected Sajo Construction, a Montreal-based firm, to handle the renovation. The company has worked with Apple for years on multiple store projects.
For example, Sajo contributed to Apple’s Sainte-Catherine store in Canada. Because of this experience, Apple likely trusts the firm to deliver high-quality results.
A Strategic Refresh, Not a Relocation
The Apple Oxmoor store spans more than 12,000 square feet. It already serves as a major retail location in the Oxmoor Center mall.
Unlike previous moves in other cities, this project focuses on upgrading the existing space rather than relocating. As a result, customers will continue to visit the same location.

Despite the confirmed permit, Apple has not announced a timeline for construction. Additionally, the mall owner has not provided further details.
