Foxconn has recorded the highest monthly earnings in its 52-year history, even before beginning mass production of Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro. The company reported July revenue of $29.6 billion, representing a 54.2% increase compared with the same period last year. Foxconn says strong demand for artificial intelligence products played the biggest role in the record-breaking result.
The announcement comes shortly after Foxconn launched its annual hiring campaign to prepare for iPhone 18 Pro production. Manufacturing is expected to accelerate during the third quarter as Apple gears up for its next major product launches.

AI Business Drives Revenue Growth
While Foxconn continues to build millions of smartphones, AI products generated much of the company’s recent growth. According to Foxconn, strong demand for AI infrastructure boosted sales across its business. The company manufactures AI servers, GPU modules, and other hardware for Nvidia, one of the world’s leading AI chipmakers.
Although smartphone sales also performed well, AI products delivered the strongest momentum. As businesses continue investing in artificial intelligence, Foxconn expects AI server shipments to remain a major source of revenue.
Production Set to Accelerate
Foxconn expects business activity to increase further during the third quarter. In addition to expanding AI shipments, the company will begin manufacturing the iPhone 18 Pro during its busiest production season. Holiday demand for consumer electronics is also expected to support continued growth.
The report also mentions Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone. Earlier reports suggested manufacturing challenges, but those issues have reportedly been resolved, potentially clearing the way for production.
Challenges Still Remain
Despite the strong outlook, Foxconn warned that global political and economic uncertainty could affect future performance. In addition, rising AI demand has contributed to worldwide shortages of processors and memory chips. Those shortages have already increased prices for products such as Macs and iPads, while future iPhones and other consumer electronics may also become more expensive.
AI Reshapes the Manufacturing Industry
Foxconn’s latest results highlight how artificial intelligence is transforming the technology supply chain. The company is no longer driven solely by smartphone production. Instead, AI infrastructure has become a major engine of growth alongside Apple’s expanding hardware business.
With iPhone 18 Pro production approaching and AI demand remaining strong, Foxconn appears well positioned for another busy quarter. However, supply shortages and global economic conditions will continue to influence the industry’s outlook in the months ahead.
