Macquarium? That's so 90's
We've all seen Macquariums, those water-tight fish aquariums made from the corpses of deceased Macs. They're definitely fun, but what if you've got a whole slew of dead Macs? What can you do with all those empty shells?Flickr user Superchou has set up several old Macs as a quite nice potted garden. Two Apple IIGS's, five Macintosh Classic II's, a Mac SE and a Mac Plus all act as either planters or stands in her creation. I like it.
Is it me, or is the monitor of the Classic on the far left actually displaying something?

Those are right up the street from my apartment in the Shadyside area of Pittsburgh. I walk past them at least once a week, very strange to see them on TUAW.

The one on the left appears to have RAM glued across the front. If you click the All Sizes button and click the original size, it blows up to a huge photo, so you can take a closer look.
I think I might steal this idea and make a planter out of one myself. I wonder if I could rig it to make the bottom removable for collecting water and dead leaves...

I sure hope all those computers were dead before they were eviscerated and used as planters. I miss my Mac Classic something fierce. I spent many a lazy day playing New Tetris and Dungeon of Doom and Mission: Thunderbolt. The new systems are more powerful and oh-so-flashy, but I really miss that old beige box.

I hope none of the nasty elements inside the CRT's find their way into the ground.

What a horrible display of old shit and rather crappy plants. Leaving the Mac dimension aside, this is fugly.
