Cube Aquarium
I love Mac aquariums, although apparently that is so yesterday. I also happen to love the Mac Cube (which is also yesterday, but that's a sadder story). We still have a functioning G4 Cube in the family and it does great. So it's a bittersweet story to find an old Cube, gutted and cleaned, and turned into a stunning aquarium. This has to be the most beautiful Maquarium ever, cool enough even for Jon Ive's desk. Goodness knows I'd like to have one. It's worth noting you have to spend a little time to clean out that paint inside, seal up the enclosure, and figure out a way to keep the fish poop from mucking up the sides. Bravo.

That's by far the coolest Maquarium I've seen yet!

I am making one. I have a cube case and even a piece of Plexiglas for the bottom, but I have not had time to put it together. I have however polished some of the scratches off and am pretty sure I know how to do finish it. (Maybe I will over Christmas break...)

Actually the cube enclosure is completely clear, so you don't have to clean any paint off of it. The 'silver' effect you see in a Cube is from an insert that can be replaced with practically anything you want, or nothing at all.
Sealing up the bottom would be the most difficult part.

Sample of the clear case (yes, there's some Apple legal type that technically could be called 'paint')

I really really really want one! But I don't have any fish, just a dog. I wonder if he'd fit in there...

Ummm.. Really a filter isn't required for a single Beta fish... An occasional changing of the tank water will suffice as long as there is always greenery in the water to make air..

Actually that is why you put a betta in there. They don't require a filter and as long as you keep the water clean they will live a long time.
