Quiz: Do you know your Apple celebs?

Allright, TUAWers, it's your time to shine. You fancy yourself a Mac addict, eh? Then take our quiz.

Many of the big players in the history of Apple can be recognized by their first names only. Below is a list of first names of people connected with Apple Computer that are quite well known, in order of difficulty (easiest at the top). Think you can recall the surname for each one? Leave your guess in the comments, and we'll post the answer tomorrow. Bonus points: What is each person's contribution/connection? Good luck!

Hint: "Steve" and "Bill" are not "Jobs" and "Gates." That would be too easy.
  1. Steve
  2. Guy
  3. Gil
  4. Jonathan
  5. Al
  6. Ellen
  7. Jean-Louis

I was surprised and how many folks did not know Rupert Lissner, the originater of 3 easy pieces, now appleworks, that started out as the first and reputedly impossible 8 bit integrated application. other histories seem to omit him as well
sad to see history rewritten at the expense of a gentleman.
The blue meanies - Gary , Ed, Darin, I can still see the other cubes, but the name plates are fuzzy

Less famous but possibly more interesting would be the names (first names will do) of the Blue Meenies from the System 7 era.

I would answer everything as the second commentary —from Paul Menzies— did, except for the last 2 names: Robert I didn't know and I would go for Bill Atckinson. I think I know a bit about my favorite computer company. :)
From those names, I've talked to Woz and Raskin.

1 Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple.
2 Guy Kawasaki, Mac evangelist.
3 Gil Amelio, former Apple CEO. Preceded Jobs.
4 Jonathan Ive, Apple’s industrial designer.
5 Al Gore, member of Apple’s board of directors.
6 Ellen Fiess or Ellen Hancock, Fiess was the much lampooned “switcher;” Hancock was hired by Amelio, she is credited with killing Copland and helping to buy NeXT, which brought Jobs back to Apple.
7 Jean-Louis Gassèe, CEO of Be. Apple considered a switch to BeOS after Copland. They later picked NeXTStep/MacOS X.
8 Bill Atkinson, software developer. Created MacPaint, arguably Apple’s first important piece of software.
9 Jef Raskin, the aptly named “Father of the Mac.” Jef created the Mac as his pet project before Jobs took it over. Designed the Mac UI, and had originally wrote manuals for Apple. Developed the ideas for how computers would interact with people.
10 Rupert Lissner, aka Robert, created AppleWorks in 1984 for the Apple II. AppleWorks is one of the best selling programs ever made.

All from my head:

Steve Capps - interface design, later went on to form Magic Hat
Guy Kawasaki - original Macintosh evangelist
Gil Amelio - CEO brought in from US Semiconductor ?
Jonathan Ive - Industrial designer responsible for Apple's current signature hardware appearance
Al ??? No idea
Ellen ??? executive under Amelio? I want to say headed up Copeland. Vaguely rings a bell. Unless you mean the girl from the switch ads: that's Fleiss.
Jean-Louis Gassée - President, Apple France
Bill Atkinson - Hypercard developer, clip art designer
Jef Raskin - worked on original Macintosh team
Rupert, aka Robert ??? No idea
