Widget Watch: Local Gas Prices
It's nearly summer again, and once again gas prices are on the rise. I thought I'd remind you about one of the gas widgets available for download. Interdimension Media's widget allows you to enter a Zip code and locates the lowest priced gasoline in your area using data from GasPriceWach.com. Choose the gas grade you want to search for and a search radius. The Gas widget displays the lowest price per gallon and its location within that search area. Adjust the number in the top right corner of the widget to search for the 2nd lowest price, 3rd lowest and so forth.

I've been using this one for a few weeks, and love it.

I don't mean to be finnicky, and I know [well, I'm guessing] most of your audience is in the US, but it'd be nice for the rest of us shlubs outside your fine land if you could make it clear that you're talking about something that's only relevant to America.

May 22 2007 at 9:47 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHere's a rant: why do so many developers do the aqua-reflection-thing to the extreme? The top of this widget is nearly unreadable from the simluated reflections.
The most annoying example of this is the Toast 8 disk capacity meter - the top part is essentially whited out - and that's the part you CARE about...
My eyes hurt when entering the site...

May 22 2007 at 8:11 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhoops. Decimal misplacement:
$1.299/$0.83
Gas in my town is currently $129.9/L. Based on the numbers above, Bradley Petroleum is charging .83/L? Good deal. ;-)
