Not buying the keynote 'outline'

As Mike just posted, a German site claims to have The Steve's bullet points for tomorrow's WWDC keynote. Although this outline has a lot of things that appeal to me (especially the "One More Thing"), I'm just not buying into it. Wouldn't a WWDC keynote contain a lot more about Leopard? And about the new and fabulous Xcode improvements?

Besides, iPhone@home just doesn't make sense. Why @home? A bigger screen, no keyboard? That would be something to use on the road, not at home. After all, AppleTV is in the living room. Where would iPhone@home live? In the kitchen? Maybe it comes with magnets pre-installed so it can live on my fridge. And 60GB of flash memory? That sounds like it would cost about $3000 for a keyboard-less tablet computer. I'm just not buying it. Much as I want the iNewton, I don't think this bullet point list is legit.

I don't know what an iPhone@home is, but if it would be something that would enable me to get rid of my land line, that would be very appealing.

I just think those "Germans" who posted it might be smoking the crack instead of cracking a code. Yeesh...last thing we need are more people claiming to know everything...i HATE rumor season.

The name is probably a plant but I could see the product. Even at the current price of the iphone itself it's very cost competitive with high end REMOTE CONTROLS to say nothing of its other features.

A home controller using the iphone interface and capabilities (bluetooth, wifi) would be really impressive. They could sell a bluetooth/wifi 'base station' that supports SIP or an analog line that allows it to be a cordless phone also if they really wanted to keep with the iphone name.

its probably whatever Apple had to do with the joint venture with Cisco to keep the iPhone name.

Actually, it's iPhone@Gnome, and it's part of an exclusive deal with Travelocity.

Sounds like a Foleo a la Apple, if you ask me. What's the target group here? What's the consumer to gain on a product like that? Don't forget that Apple is first and foremost a company that makes consumer products -- this being a strange, off-the-wall, niche product at best. At least if the specs given are correct.

if its not a joke, iphone@home is probably special functions/features you can use when paired with your home network - the WiFi and/or having other Macs around. Off the top of my head, WiFi calling (which is already happening right?) streaming music and video and photos to different rooms on the phone, better, syncing, charging, or its just a joke.
