Espy: lovechild of iPhoto and Address Book
While the basic idea of organizing contacts by photo is not bad, I can't help but observe that the hard part is going to be getting all the pictures. I try to keep photos of my contacts in the Address Book, but except for good friends this is often a challenge. It's a bit of a catch-22 since the people whose names I'm more likely to forget (and so benefit from something like Espy) are also the people I'm less likely to have pictures of.
In any case, Espy is $24.95 and a demo is available.

I would like see an Address Book in the form ESPY's icon. A full featured ROLODEX with pictures.
I mean a real animated ROLODEX on my screen.
Does something like that exist already?
Espy is also the name of an award given by ESPN. I'd expect a cease and desist in short order....

I've had this gripe since day 1: add a photo to a contact on your iPhone, get a full-screen image when they call. Add a photo to a contact via Address Book, get a thumbnail of the image over your iPhone background when they call.
(I know this is somewhat off-topic, so sorry, but it just completely bugs me as I don't see a reason for Address Book's photo capabilities not to be upgraded to be in line with the iPhone's)
I actually like the Address Book pics better than the full screen images. It should be a preference, however. And, if you assign a pic to a contact on the iPhone, that image should sync back to Address Book.

"Pleasure meeting you, thank you for the business card. Oh, and by the way could you email me a picture of yourself?"
Kind of creepy.
Apple should integrate Coverflow in Adressbook!
