Video of 'aluminum MacBook' surfaces
An often-blurry QuickTime spy video of what appears to be an aluminum MacBook enclosure is available now on apple.pro. (If the video link isn't working, try watching it on YouTube; there are stills available here.)
The video is a series of close-up shots, none showing the thickness of the enclosure, nor the keyboard. The only features visible in the video are the new location for the power button, and a larger trackpad. Its authenticity could not be independently verified.
Yesterday, apple.pro had photos of what appears to be the same enclosure. Is it the new MacBook? We'll see on October 14.

Thanks, Josh, for the YouTube link!

Looks like an Air to me. Why no keyboard shots?

Exactly!! We aren't going to die if we wait for a few days!!! Why spend hours on all these fake vids.... And flooding the internet with not-so-important news....
I just dont get it!!

@Jash, because it's funny and makes people go crazy, why else.

The consensus from this video is that it's a MacBook Air. We're not offered a full perspective of the laptop, which doesn't let us fully corroborate if the air was masked over, but the intelligent shooting of the video with the amount of white makes the white balance of the video much more easy to mask over the "Air" portion of the descriptor logo.

The video is of the new MacBook, the bezel photos are of the MacBook Pro?

Who are they kidding? That's a MacBook Air.

Yeah. My vote is on fake. It's obviously an Air. Why not just post a zoomed out photo of the whole thing? Without the piece of paper? What's the point in obscuring these things?
Please. Show a full photo for once.

Aren't you guys supposed to be THE Apple blog? Shouldn't you know Apple products inside and out? That is obviously a Macbook Air. The most casual of observers could have seen that.

I am on a MacBook Air right now and all that was is a MacBook Air. It is very easy to remove the part that says Air. Lets get real the new MacBook would be much thicker than the Air. We will see for sure what the new MacBook's are going to look like. We do not need to see a fake like this video. And I think the ones like me that do have a MacBook Air should know one when we see it.

Look also like an Air to me. The previous aluminum enclosure shows a different place for the power button (upper right, not up right of the keyboard)

Shenanigans indeed...

I wish I could also be hired by Apple's Viral Marketing Team just so I can help out with these false-positive video and photo leaks. They seem like so much fun. I wonder how much it pays?
I can see it now... TASK: Set up an inconspicuous environment with various identifiable objects, and take pictures or shoot video of fake prototype model A0139. Be sure to include multiple angles without revealing too much information. Adjust camera so focus is not perfect and lighting is inadequate. Send completed pictures to our third-party leakbot site. Once the task is completed, please email Apple's Viral Legal Team so they can "act" upon the "leakage" for compensation on the project.

Yeah you're probably right, after all Apple is renowned for having difficulty creating hype around their products.
Sending a bunch of blurry, nondescript amateur pics and/or video to a couple of websites read by handful of geeks is pure marketing genius.

There's no question...it's the Macbook Air. Exact same power button location, same hinge location, same curvature on the front corners, same iSight cam/mic...
oh, and is that song familiar to anyone else, or is it just me???

The posts should be screened before anything goes to the public so we don't have to waste time in this type of useless posts. Thanks Robert!
