Apple has released visionOS 26.3.1 to address a flicker issue affecting Sports MultiView on Apple Vision Pro. The update focuses specifically on improving sports streaming inside the Apple TV app.

According to the release notes, some users experienced screen flickering while using MultiView. Therefore, Apple pushed out the fix just two weeks after visionOS 26.3 launched.

Why MultiView Matters

Sports MultiView allows users to watch several live games at once in a virtual space. For example, fans can follow multiple MLS matches simultaneously. In Formula 1, viewers can track different camera angles during a single race.

Although Apple Vision Pro still lacks a single “killer app,” features like MultiView give it a strong use case. By placing multiple floating displays around the user, the headset creates an immersive viewing experience.

Timing Ahead of F1 Season

The update arrives just before the 2026 Formula 1 season begins on March 8. As a result, Apple ensures that racing fans can enjoy clear, stable streams during high-profile events.

While Apple does not yet offer dedicated spatial F1 content, MultiView enhances the experience. Users can position multiple video windows in their room, which makes live coverage feel dynamic.

Apple’s Broader Sports Push

Apple continues to invest heavily in sports coverage through Apple TV. Although few media partners fully support MultiView, the Apple TV app increasingly integrates the feature.

Because sports attract loyal audiences, Apple sees them as a key growth area. This quick update shows the company’s willingness to act fast when core features face issues.

For Vision Pro owners, the message is clear: update now and prepare for a smoother MLS and F1 season.
