Apple is expanding its smart home ambitions with HomeView and a new collection of connected accessories. The company plans to introduce select products in December 2026, followed by additional devices in early 2027.

The Apple Home Collection brings together products from LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Moreover, it aims to simplify home management through one connected system.

Users will be able to monitor cameras, control door locks, and adjust indoor temperatures without switching between different apps.

Apple HomeView Brings Smart Devices Together

HomeView serves as the central control point for Apple’s latest home automation system. Instead of manufacturing every accessory, Apple is working with established hardware companies.

Meanwhile, compatible devices can respond automatically when household members arrive or leave. For example, the system can adjust temperatures, secure doors, and activate security cameras.

Apple’s hardware engineering vice president, Matthew Costello, emphasized simplicity, reliability, and privacy as the collection’s main priorities.

As a result, the company hopes to make connected home technology easier for everyday users.

Apple Home Collection Prices and Accessories

LG’s upcoming lineup includes several security and home automation products.

The LG Video Doorbell Wired costs $249.95, while the Floodlight Cam costs $399.95. Additionally, the Outdoor Cam costs $299.95, and the Indoor Cam costs $199.95.

For home security, LG offers a Smart Deadbolt Lock priced at $349.95. Its Smart Thermostat costs $199.95, while the Temperature Sensor costs $39.95.

Schneider Electric also offers a $199.95 thermostat and a $39.95 room sensor.

Meanwhile, HomeView mounting options start at $59.95 for a USB-C connector. A professionally installed hardwired mount costs $79.95.

Later, Schneider will introduce a Power over Ethernet mount for $129.95.

Privacy Features and December Availability

Privacy plays a major role in Apple’s new smart home strategy.

Camera footage uses on-device processing or Apple’s Private Cloud Compute system. Furthermore, supported iCloud+ plans provide 10 days of encrypted event history.

Apple says neither its partners nor Apple itself can access users’ camera footage and Home app data.

Eligible subscribers will also receive Apple Intelligence video descriptions and natural-language search features.

However, customers must wait until December for the first accessories. Additional products will arrive in early 2027.

Apple Retail will also offer professional installation through ADT for an extra charge.

Ultimately, HomeView could make smart home management more convenient while keeping privacy at the center of the experience.
