I don't think running a large video in the foreground on your overclocked G3 is going to make Safari move aaaany faster for you, mate. ;)

How do I get to that intro scene, where's it hidden - I did a clean install and loved it... But I'd love to run it when I get bored... or while waiting for Safari (which I notice has made progress, but only just).

Because some updates are prerequisites for others, you may need to run Software Update more than once to get all available updates." S

May 17 2005 at 2:25 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'm not yet a Tiger owner, but I'm getting the sense that this is still 10.4b. Did Panther act up this much when it was born? Another thing that has always made me laugh is the language in Software Update: "...is recommended for all users." Is there going to be an update that "is only recommended for neat freaks and early adopters."
May 17 2005 at 12:38 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyApple disabled third-party plug-ins in Mail 2.0.1. Here's how I fixed GPGMail. It will probably work for Growl, too. 1. Quit Mail. 2. On the terminal, run 'defaults write com.apple.mail EnableBundles 1' without the quotes. 3. Start Mail. 4. Quit Mail. 5. Rename ~/Library/Mail/Bundles (Disabled) to just Bundles, or reinstall the plug-in. 6. Start Mail. I had to mess around with opening Mail a few times after running the terminal command before reinstalling the plug-in, otherwise the setting wouldn't take.

May 16 2005 at 10:36 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIs it just me or is this "widget security hole" taking strange mediatic proportions..??? Everyone is talking about it but has anyone heard of or actually experienced any real issue related to this widget security thingy? Has this "security hole" allready been exploited to do something really nasty or is this just a reaction to the whole talk about OS X being generally more secure ("Finally something that might perhaps go really wrong!")
May 16 2005 at 10:29 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy download was super quick. It did, however, crash my computer and then give me the multilingual screen of death. It also looks like it killed Growl for Mail.app... Aside from that all seems good, my rebooting seems faster now.
