Troubleshooting Subscribing to iTMS podcasts

I've been having difficulty subscribing to several of the podcast feeds available in the iTMS. I'll click subscribe, then the dialog will pop up asking if I am sure I want to subscribe, I click yes, then the podcast appears in my podcast pane with a little ! next to it. I click on the !, and I am met with something like the following:

podcast URL error

If this happens to you, here's the solution: Go back to the iTMS. Instead of subscribing to the entire podcast, simply click the "Get Episode" button next to the podcast to which you want to subscribe. The episode will begin loading in your podcasts pane and the podcast will appear above the individual episode with a "Subscribe" button. Click on that Subscription button and now for some unknown reason, it works. Probably something to do with podcast feeds that aren't properly embedded, but who knows?

Also, I think it is odd that the subscription only downloads one podcast episode at a time, rather than all available episodes. Hopefully, Apple will iron out all these little kinks soon...

No, you weren't kidding. "unconventional arrangements of original compositions and standards-to-be blur the line between pop, jazz and cabaret styles" Cool. Subscribed. I've been using iTunes 4.9 for about 7 minutes, and I'm a big fan of podcasts.

The Air America podcasts are torrents, actually. I doubt iTunes is going to support torrents, so they will probably never work. iPodderX support torrents, though ;)

Didn't work for Queer Eye either. (Go ahead, flame away).

Uh, yes you can download all the episodes at once. Its in your options menu under the Podcasts tab. There is a pplace that says, "When new episodes are available" then it has a pull down window were you can choose "Download All" So i just wanted to point that out to you.

I think that the eventual problem of these podcasts server's are going to run out of bandwidth now that their more mainstream than before. Apple should maybe have a mirroring service for a few bucks for podcaster's

Unfortunately this does not always solve the problem ... for instance the podcast for KOMO News here in Seattle always shows up as "invalid / broken" ... infact the default image for the podcast is a broken link image. as for your earlier post re: unsubscribing and the podcast remaining in the list ... simply unsubscribing will never remove it ... simply select the podcast and hit the delete key as you would if you were deleting songs ... then it will ask if you want to move the item(s) to the trash or if you want to keep the files G

Have you changed the settings for podcasts (bottom right) to download all podcasts instead of just the most recent? It's configured to only the most recent by default.
