Three Apple Stores to open this weekend
Apple plans to open three new retail stores this weekend, each on Saturday, September 24th at
10:00 AM (I'm glad to see they've switched back from Friday, as they did with the San Antonio store). Apple Store South Hills Village will open at 301 South Hills Village, Pittsburgh, PA., on the lower level near Sears. You can find complete travel directions here.Apple Store Florida Mall can be found at 8001 South Orange Blossom Trail, Room 1114, Orlando, FL., next to Pottery Barn, near Macy's. Check here for travel directions.
Finally, Apple Store Penn Square will swing open its doors at 1901 NW Expressway, Suite 1015A, Oklahoma City, OK. The Apple Store is located on the lower level near the west Dillard's and Mr. Ooleys mall entrance.
As usual, the first 1000 visitors at each location will be rewarded with commemorative t-shirts. Visitors can also enter to win the “Grand Opening Sweepstakes,” which will award one winner with an iMac, an iPod nano, a Canon digital camera and camcorder and an Epson inkjet printer.
If you're going to attend any of these openings, please let us know! We'd love to read your reports and see any photos you snap. Good luck! Here's hoping you get a T-shirt. On a personal note, I'm still waiting for Apple Store Cape Cod. Come on, Apple!

When is my town getting one (or my state for that matter). I live in greenville SC, a city that is large enough for an Apple store to do very well. At the moment all I have is a small corner of my local CompUSA and CompUSA is nice but it's no Apple by far and they don't do the educational discount. I've only been in the NYC SoHo store but if other Apple stores are half as nice as that I'd be happy.

KissTheRing: If there is, I haven't found it. I just periodically check apple.com/retail.

I'm still waiting for Apple Store Salt Lake City. Denver is a bit of a drive, which is why I've never been to the Denver store.
Is there some list of upcoming Apple stores?

I'll be attending the Pittsburgh - South Hills Village grand opening. I will definitely take photos and be sure to come back here and post up a link for those interested in seeing them.

It always makes me wonder how stores being announced after the likes of Manchester and Sheffield in the UK, always seem to open before them. Does anyone have any kind of inkling at the opening dates of Manchester and Sheffield?

OK, now we have two Apple Stores that are 6 miles apart in Orlando ( Mall at Millenia and Florida Mall ). Maybe the Florida Mall Apple Store will be bigger than the one at Millenia, that place always seems full.

http://www.ifoapplestore.com/ claims the SLC Gateway Apple Mini store will be opening this weekend; anyone have confirmation of that?
