October 16 2005 at 11:23 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyJust install the dev tools and launch quartz composer. You can do everything photobooth does. It's just a showcase for CoreImage in Tiger (and the supplied Core Image Units). Of course having this nice little app in standard would be a plus. Even for someone who doesn't have an integrated camera it would be excellent if the first time you connect your new iSight or third party webcam you were welcomed to it by photobooth.

They couldn't even handle the bandwidth afterword, while people are trying to d/l iTunes 6, checking out the store, checking out ITMS, checking out videos with their high file sizes through ITMS, etc. Do you think they'd be able to handle the entire mac world all trying to stream video? What we could use is distributed downloading for streaming stuff. Format of the stream wouldn't matter; just take what you get and shove it back out.
