Well, that's what I get for trying out a brand new feature of the iTMS a few paltry hours after the announcement. I clicked on Lost, deciding to spend $1.99 to download last week's episode, just so I could see how this new goodness works in the iTMS. It took about 32 minutes to download and at the very last minute, when I thought it was going to announce that it was complete, I got the following error:
And then iTunes crashed. The file is nowhere in my Library and now whenever I try to Check for Purchased Music... underneath the Advanced menu in iTunes, I get a "iTMS temporarily unavailable." Grr...
Update: I got it finally. Cool...

I believe that is error code 4 8 15 16 23 42, which if you're a fan of the show, you know can be quite devastating.
With any luck you'll be able to go to your account and re-download the show. I had to do that with a couple of songs back when my Comcast account was constantly crapping out on me.

They had a hard time with the slam, but everything seems to be fine now. For a while, I couldn't even browse the music videos. Now, everything loads fine (albeit with some lag) and downloads properly.
They even have music videos to go with a few songs on my obsessive "minor rock radio hits/one- or two-hit wonders of the 90s (for lack of a better description)". Screaming Trees, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Sponge... awesome. Now if only they'd make TV shows browseable...

Anyone gotten the 20 second previews on ITMS to work for TV shows? I can't seem to get anything to preview.

Not sure if this is a US only thing... I am in Canada and I don't have any option to pick any TV videos...
even tried the search... there is only "Movie Trailers", "Music Videos" and "Pixar" on the left panel

I had this problem also. I just clicked of "Check for Purchases" under advanced and it worked fine the next time. Apple's infastructure probably is having trouble handling the slam.

Fred: ditto. I hope TV shows become available to non-US ITMS's soon!

Karl, James - stop your whining. At least you have iTMSs. Out here in the Australian/New Zealand boondocks we are fresh out of iTMS love entirely NOTWITHSTANDING that our copyright regimes are virtually identical to the UK. Seriously, two years on and the labels cant negotiate - what's happening?!

Same thing happened to me as I tried downloading the first 3 eps of Lost from iTMS... I kept trying to dl them over and over til it finally would go through.
I think it was a comobination of the servers getting hammered and the Dharma Corporation... they were running mind experiments on us to see how many times we would "push the button"...
I know, I'm a geek.

Vid quality's not bad. They're 320x240 in size, but can be sized up to double-size or full-screen and still retain their watchability... They do get fuzzy when you enlarge em, but heck... I think it's a small price to pay to get to watch one of my favorite tv shows when I want.
Now if SciFi would hop on board with iTMS and put Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis episodes online... I'd be one happy geek.

What I'd love to be able to do is download like, 4 episodes of Lost at a time, burn em, and play them on my TV. Any idea if apple is putting any blocks on me being able to do this?
