iTunes Music Store Australia?
Is it finally going to happen? According to this post at the AppleTalk Australia Forums, the
worldwide head of the iTunes Music Store as well as the worldwide head of iPod
Marketing will appear in Australia at a major briefing on Tuesday, organized by Apple Australia. As forum poster Disko says, "...it's hard to imagine the head of iTMS flying from the US to Australia
for any other reason than the announcement of iTMS Australia."The launch of an Australian iTunes Music Store has eluded Mac-toting Australians for quite some time now. To our friends down under: We're keeping our fingers crossed for you!
Thanks, yinyang!

Or they could be saying, "No iTunes Store for Aussies. Ever. We hate you and we just wanted to confirm it before Russell Crowe starts another rumour."
Seriously though, I wonder how many people Sony/BMG have pushed into checking LimeWire and BitTorrent by delaying so long?
In other potentially related news, Channel 7 have indicated they are open to licensing TV shows for online distribution.
