It was only 53 megs for me, but it does say in the KB article that it will be of differing sizes for folks.

thats weird. my powerbook and mac mini are both patched up to date but 10.4.3 on the 'book is 97mb and the mini says 57mb. Any idea what accounts for the 40mb difference?
oh, and anyone wanna test it out first.......?

Does anyone know if this solves the annoying "G5 Freeze" problem? I won't be able to find out for certain until later this evening. The tech note says nothing about fixing this issue.

One thing that's interesting to note in the technote is that it now comes with a fix for "installation reliability". One would hope that the installation would be reliable and that no special feature of the build would be necessary for that :)

Damien,
I have heard that it does not. (Via the MacCast)

YESSSSS YESSS YES!! Nikon D50 RAW support! I assume that the D70s is probably officially supported now. Thank you Steve Jobs; it's a pity that Windows photographers won't get this sort of RAW-on-OS love until Longhorn.

Anyone notice that when you click on an application it now tells you what architecture (what chip, PPC or Intel) it is built for

So... does Safari crash everytime you use it now? Cause mine definitely does. Good think Firefox still works or else I couldn't make this post

Good upgrade overall.
Spotlight speed has increased dramatically.
Though one of my major concerns about Safari and the img max-width css property hasn't been adressed.

SON OF A BI**H
Mike was right. FrontRow is no longer working on my Mini :(
Here is what I got so far. PowerBook = 97mb Feels a little faster, no ill effects. Safari works fine.
Mini = 56.8mb Feels MUCH faster Safari works fine FrontRow has quit!!!!!!
I wonder if 10.4.3 released today instead of Friday like everyone was reporting in order to "fix" the FrontRow issue?
/puts on Tinfoil hat.

Yup, that's what I was going to say: Front Row down (on a Powerbook).
Actually I had a feeling this could happen before I clicked on the install updates button. I was just about to get a Sony Ericsson w800 with Sailing Clicker to control FR. Mom, they stole my toy!!!

I'd also like to add that there is a new version of Safari included in this update and as such Saft doesn't work with it. I had no idea how much I'd been relying on Saft until I started up Safari and saw that brushed metal interface (I use the saft alternative.)

No problems here.
Safari is fine. First browser to support Acid 2 in an official release, nicely done!
People with crashing problems - clear the cache, disable add-ons.

The Apple description of this update includes:
- Disables Quartz 2D ExtremeQuartz 2D Extreme is not a supported feature in Tiger, and re-enabling it may lead to video redraw issues or kernel panics.
Just a heads up to those of you who may have it turned on...

To fix front row re-edit the script to include the following...
tell application "System Events"
tell application "Front Row" to activate
key code 53 using {command down}
delay 0.5
key code 53
end tell
