First Gen Dual 2Ghz 3GB Ram - most things are working fine, Front row is dead (need to look into the Applescript change they made) Biggest issue is that the fans like to kick in at full speed for a second or two sort of randomly.

I'm having the same problem as #25. My junk mail filtering is no longer working since the update. Haven't tested much of anything else yet.

Was delighted to see it at 52M, and was blown away when it d/l in about a minute....The new fiber to the house service obviously worked.
As for the update, my music machine, an old blue and white, cannot see anything FireWire......save a connected iPod. 60G of music and its backup are somewhere in the binary ether. ARGHGGGGGGGGGH!

can't you just re-install / re-copy FrontRow files after upgrading?

SAFT has been updated to be compatible with the new version of Safari.

also: disabling mailtags plugin does indeed solve all the mail issues i mentioned earlier. let's hope they'll come up with an update soon.

It's the weirdest thing. I ran software update, and it won't work! It gave me the standard "Software Update doesnt have any new software for your computer at this time." I hate having to use the stand-alone installer, but I guess I have to.

Safari is crashing so much on me it is now unusable. (And no, I don't have Saft or anything plugin like that installed. And yes, I did "reset" safari, deleted icon caches, repaired permissions, used a stand alone updater, and performed the suggested voodoo rituals.)

Well.. Mine keeled over and it just gets a nice blue screen and gets stuck -- That was after the installer crapped out in the middle.. Once that happened, I couldn't re-run the software updater anymore so I rebooted.. Now I can only boot into single user mode but can't get the networking going (all devices are marked as inactive) so I can't run "softwareupdate" via the commandline.. I might just have to reinstall.. Eww..

For Front Row hackers out there:
tell application "System Events"
tell application "Front Row" to activate
key code 53 using {command down}
delay 0.0
key code 53
end tell
Works that little bit faster, found this idea over at digg.com
Hopefully there'll be a legit version out soon, I'd pay a few bucks for it. Cool that it works with my BLuetooth Phone via Salling CLicker too!

If you are using Eyehome 1.6, you will undoubtedly notice that the application will crash after installing this Tiger update. Elgato Technical Support confirmed that Apple is aware of the issue but did not implement a fix in time for the release of the OS update.
If you are experiencing this, you need to roll back to Eyehome 1.5.

Anyone else notice configd going berserk after this update? Any time I load an RSS feed in Safari that has images associated with it, configd spikes up to 80% CPU, and the page just never loads. Unfortunately, I noticed this while trying to load TUAW's feed.
Thought maybe the AirPort update would handle it . . . I guess not.

Bought family pack os 10.4. updated all our system to 10.4.3 all is fine except for the ibook:
Machine Name: iBook
Machine Model: PowerBook4,3
CPU Type: PowerPC 750 (1.2)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 700 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 256 MB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.3.6f2
this one won't boot after upgrade to 10.4.3.
I resorted to clean install and machine runs fine without upgrade. Won't boot with, any thoughts?

I updated to 10.4.3 around the time when the update was first available. Since then, the visual effects on the desktop (dock effects, minimizing/maximizing windows, ect.) have been getting bogged down. The dock will freeze mid-"genie" and windows will freeze half out of the dock. Clicking around on different apps that are open or on the desktop icons usually unjam the machine, but I have no idea what happened to cause this. I have a new powerbook g4, 1.5ghz processor, 512 mb of ram with an 80g hd. I've run disk utility countless times with no effect. Processing power is unaffected and other than this minor annoyance the update has made most things run faster. I'm very new at this and have never really delved into the os. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Matt
