Class Action Lawsuit for PowerBook 15" RAM Issues
If you've had trouble with your PowerBook 15 Inch's RAM not being recognized with certain versions of OS X, be sure
to check out this possible class
action lawsuit. The problems seem to occur with the lower of the two memory slots in only the 15 inch models of
PowerBooks. Many users first noticed this problem with an update to OS 10.3.9 and fewer reported problems with 10.4.0
and 10.4.1 all using automatic update. Apparently, the second memory slot becomes physically damaged with the upgrade,
which I find hard to believe.Let us know in the comments if you've had these problems, we like to stay informed of defective models here at TUAW.
