Rig of the Day: The collector

Now, I collect Macs and other Apple goodies, but Flickr user mactarkus has got me beat. Check out the iMacs (is that a flower power in the foreground?), All in One, compact Macs, Mac TV...even a Twentieth Anniversary Mac, which, for me, is the Holy Grail. Two great posters wrap up the collection.

I worked for a Madison Ave. ad agency that had a guerilla Apple Museum. We would have been found out if it were ever assembled in one space so everything was scattered around in different cabinets, store rooms, build rooms, and offices.

Some of my favorite highlights were:
The 20th Anniversary Mac (used as a CD player in a build room)
If not every Newton, very close including an eMate that I coveted
A Lisa (one of two I have ever seen)
Two Quick Take cameras (one with a custom mount for shooting panoramas)
Every produced Power Book including Duos and Docks.

Oddly, no Workgroup servers. Ive yet to ever be in the same room as one.

Is that an Apple Workgroup Server on the back wall?

I wish it were that easy to Photoshop that color on the wall when it fact it was no small task to empty that room to paint it. Nothing smells here.

That looks like photoshop to me. Take a lookat the wall color. The shading looks nice in the corner, but it ought to be a different shade behind the bookshelf and under the desk. I smell a fake.

Yeah, that's a Flower Power -- my mom had this very same iMac, 'til Katrina destroyed it.
