Select Disney short films now available on iTunes

That certainly didn't take long! The ink is hardly dry on the Disney/Pixar deal and now we see Disney Short films (that's an iTunes link) made available on the iTunes Music Store. That was first rumored to happen a few days ago, and it seems that the rumor was fact.

They are all going for $1.99 and amongst the offerings you can find 'The Three Little Pigs,' 'The Ugly Duckling,' and 'Ferdinand the Bull' (of which I have fond, but fuzzy, memories).

All told there are currently 10 available on the iTMS (all of which have won or were nominated for an Oscar), but certainly more will follow.

Thanks, Greenline.

darleen... what are you talking about. You downloaded a file... a binary file from iTMS... you CAN copy this file to dvd, cd, another HD, your email account, ANYWHERE.

Let me guess.... you want to copy it to a DVD to WATCH off the dvd. Yeah. That's not allowed, because they put it in a specific format for a reason.

You know this is all well and good but when you can't burn your purchases to a DVD for backup then what's the freakin' point?

I bought two of the Pixar shorts and was most aggravated to discover they're stuck on my hard drive (don't have the video iPod yet)

These are really awesome, they're all classics, but some of them are favorites, including the "Brave Little Tailor" and "The Old Mill"... maybe someone can correct me, but I think "Mill" was an academy award winning short.

The Short Films link is currently on iTMS UK, but not active yet...... maybe there's hope!

Absolutely starwxrwx, I would love to get some of that video content in the European stores. I understand the licensing issues with US TV series, but those music videos, Pixar and Disney shorts should be available in Europe.
