A Switcher's thoughts on the MacBook Pro

Dvorak may claim that no one switched, but Todd Huss might disagree. You see, Todd is a former Windows user who has recently made the big jump to OS X, and he did it in style.

Todd's first Mac ever is his brand spankin' new MacBook Pro, and he shares some of his thoughts about the machine on his blog. It is an interesting perspective that most Mac sites can't give you, so I suggest you check it out.

Update: It looks like Todd's blog is down at the moment.

Update II: And it is back!

I am thinking of making the switch myself, and I have been searching the net for fellow switcher stories. It is good to see reviews like this.

Hi, I'm new to this site and new to Mac's. As a long time Windows user (and frustrated one) my last crash pushed me over the edge, I ran up to the store and advance ordered a Macbook 1.83 Should be in anytime now. If there is truly an interest in my experience with this new platform and equipment, I will continue to post. And yeah..I am EXCITED!

When I switched in 2002, I also did it in style: One of the new Superdrive equipped 1Ghz Titanium Powerbook. Thinkjose, I suggest you wait until the new iBooks are avalable (Macbook?). Then compare price/performace with the Pros. I wanted an iBook in 2002 but they werent powerful enough then. Thus the TiBook.

I am in the same boat -- I am trying to make the jump to Mac and I am leaning towards buying the MacBook Pro. Should I wait? Should I take the plunge? What to do, what to do.
