First full length movie available in iTunes

It is a made for TV movie (the Disney Channel specifically) but it is still a movie, darn it. And a musical at that!

High School Musical is now available for download from the iTunes Music Store. Clocking in at one hour and forty minutes, this rates as a movie to me, though I am not sure I actually want to see it. For only $1.99 you can watch as two kids from opposite ends of the spectrum forge a friendship in song, and really can you put a price on that (other than the two dollar price that has already been assigned to it)?

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Update: It looks like Apple took High School Musical down for awhile, but as of 9:17PM EST it in availble via the link in this post for a new price of $9.99.  What's up with that?

That's cute. This movie was just on Family channel as a karaoke sing along this weekend.

It's pure cheese, and nothing how I remember high school, but when you're deathly hungover, it's actually kinda fun to watch.

Aside from that, $1.99 per scene of a movie is actually a pretty cool idea! I'd pay $1.99 for the car chase scene from The French Connection. (Really, who doesn't love a good "real" car chase? None of this "Fast and the Furious" CGI junk!)

Ditto! I had heard about "High School Musical" and would download the movie, being a fan of "Fame." But, it isn't on iTMS presently.

Wait, I thought you couldn't download it in full on iTunes. I just checked and they only have a few of the musical numbers at $1.99 each. Where can I download the full movie?
