Black and white MacBooks tomorrow?
ThinkSecret, that paragon of truthiness, is reporting that tomorrow Apple will announce the MacBook (Intel iBooks to you) sporting a slimmer case and a 13.3 inch widescreen. They also mention that it will cost slightly more than the old G4 model.Only time will tell if this rumor is correct, but I find it strange that there was no mention of a builtin iSight and FrontRow.
What other features do you hope the new MacBooks have?

Think Secret didn't mention the iSight and Front Row because:
a) They've mentioned it in their "insider" articles in the past as being confirmed for iBook
b) It's pretty obvious that Apple will be cramming these in to every computer they can.

Scott, in the report that appleinsider.com posted a few days ago they state all the goodies will be included in the new MacBooks (iSight, Photoboot, FrontRow etc)...

Think Secret couldn't predict its way out of a paper bag these days. In the past year, it's been wrong far more than it's been right, and many of its stories are nothing but educated guesses or "me-too" predictions posted after the same story's run on AppleInsider.

Black and white MacBooks? How much will it cost to buy them with color screens? ;)

people already complain of mac prices (although i think they are ok) and raising the price of its popular consumer laptop wont help - look what its done to the mac mini - it had so much potential.

The new Rendevou (however u spell it). With the amount of computers i have its nice to know i don;t have to transfer most of my files. The new Rendezvou streams files from any computer on the same network

i think a realistic option would be all the inards of the core solo Mac Mini with an iSight. I'd not want this myself however because i'd want external graphics. Maybe they'll bring out a core solo and core duo version.

I'd like to see a dedicated graphics card, not the mediocre Intel integrated chip that's in the Mini.
Also--any predictions about whether the new MacBook will offer the Core Solo chip as a low-cost option? Or will it be Core Duo across the line?

I still find it amazing that Apple will introduce this without a proper 'event'.
Of all the products that are expected this year, the iBook replacement surely must be one of the most eagerly awaited.
I can understand them not doing an event for the 17" MBP, but as a consumer-level product, you'd think they'd want as much 'mainsteam media' publicity as possible for this.

A real graphic card would be nice... I can't see how they would dare anything else after the mac mini fiasco.

So far Apple has yet to change the design of any of the Intel machines from the previous generation PowerPC counterparts :: the MacBook will have iSight, Front Row, 60gb HDD, Combo (low end), 12in 1024x768 screen, and maybe slightly slimmer.
Another reason that the MacBook won't sport a 13.3in widescreen; it would have a pxl/in ratio that was too slim for Apple's standard - 100pxl/in. Perhaps a 13.3 widescreen and 15 in widescreen both sporting 1280x800? Would be nice...

@ DC
I can see your point, but just look at how much attention the MacBook has already got and its not even released yet. Over the last 3 -4 days it been all over news outlets e.g Digg, Slashdot, Apple Insider etc . . and you can bet the BBC News will pickup on it if its released.
And all this and its not even confirmed that anything is going to happen tomorrow.

Maybe Apple doesn't have any other products to announce, and that's why they're not holding an event?

Feature I want to see? Amazing new lower price!
A few years ago Apple seemed to be making headway in killing the old gripe that their products were too expensive. Now prices are creeping back up - a process that started with the Intel Mac mini, and seems to be ready to continue with ther MacBook.
If anything they should be lowering the price on their entry-level laptop. The MacBook (iBook) is a switcher vehicle...if priced right. Heck, I've never owned a laptop, but even I've been thinking of buying a cheap iBook (MacBook), but I need to see something in the $799 range.

I hope it will feature some breasts, so that women will be completly unnecessary or maybe wheels or a hovercraft so we can drive it around a full day an spending only 30 % of the batteries capacity.
Let's face it. Our wishes remain unheared and isn't there something more important in the world than fancy new toys? And yet I know, I am in the first to get one. Was fr eine Schande!

The switchers won't come over if the prices don't drop. I'm not bothered, get what you pay for in my world, but a hiked price will see the Windoze crew still munching up Dell nasty.
