An anonymous tipster has clued us in to a Cleveland mall's website
PR stunt mix-up in leaking an upcoming Apple Store. That's right west-side Cleveland, Ohio residents - soon you won't have to trek across town just to get your iPod reset or to score an ice pack for your MacBook Pro: the Croker Park mall (as of this writing) has let the cat out of the bag and listed an Apple Store as 'Coming Soon' on
their website.
We don't have any other word on when your Apple-related commutes will be going on a diet, so let us know if you start seeing grand opening displays on your next trip to Croker Park's food court.

YAY! Woho! Ok, kinda, I live in Philly, but my birth place is near there! I visit Cleveland all the time. Hopefully I'll get there for the opening.

That's right down the road from me. Don't really know why Cleveland needs 2 Apple Stores. Is there that much of a Mac community in this town??? Seems like a waste to me.

So what does an "ice pack" for a MBP look like anyhow?

Dear Apple,
Why are you putting another Apple Store in Cleveland before placing a store in Dayton!?!?! Please Apple, we need our Apple Store here! Please! We have been patiently waiting and faithfully driving southward to the Cincy store and on occasion we make a Saturday trip to the Columbus store. But another in Cleveland? Why do you ignore us Apple? Did we do something wrong? Do we not purchase enough already?
Sincerely,
philip

Cleveland? Ok, great. That's fine for Ohio folks, but how about making a short hop across the border while you're in the neighborhood and open me up a store in Fort Wayne? I'm getting sick of having to make 100+ mile jaunts to see a new Apple product in action.

OK, Kent. You win...Fort Wayne should get one before Dayton (its only 40 miles to the Cincinnati store). But still, both our cities should get one Apple Store before Cleveland gets a second.

I think they should be building more stores in Europe and Asia. Some countries only have 1 or 2 Apple stores in the entire country, even though there is demand for them.

This is great news. Now I don't have to drive 40 mins, to the East side to go to an Apple Store. Sorry about your luck Dayton.

I worked at the Apple store in Cleveland for 2 years. Anybody that lives in Cleveland knows that the East side and West side might as well be different countries. People are so afraid to drive from one half to the other.
And if you've ever been in an Apple store, you know that Apple will ask for your zip code. They do this to compare with the online sales... and in our store, there were tons of online sales made on the West side, with very little in-store West side zip codes... this told Apple that they had a ton of business that just wasn't willing to drive over the Valley View Bridge.
Kent, however, had a strong presence In-Store. If you guys want an Apple store there, stop driving to Legacy Village and start buying online. And I don't know Kent well, but do you guys have a location that meets the Apple store demands? Near 2 major highways with a very upscale shopping center with an average household income over 6 digits?

Heh. I grew up in Westlake (the suburb of Cleveland where Crocker Park is located). Go west side!

Apple should coordinate w/ Starbucks. Sometimes the two are not even within walking distance :)

Dave, there are two Starbucks in the vincinity of Crocker Park. One is in the Barnes & Noble and the other is in the Promenade (which is a smaller shopping center right next to CP) Both are with in walking distance of one another (plus the Borders has a coffee shop as well).
