MacBook Invisble Shield reviewed

Paul Stamatiou has a MacBook and he is concerned about the possibility of discoloration. What's a geek to do? Why, apply ShieldZone's Invisible Shield plastic protector, that's what.

Paul says that applying the shield isn't easy, but it isn't hard either (how's that for a review?) though an extra set of hands is recommended. Overall, if you're worried about sullying your precious MacBook Paul says these are for you.

They can be a little tricky to get on the first time. But I love them on our ipods.

Why is this necessary? My 12" PowerBook is two years old and the handrest hasn't got a single scratch (or discoloration) on it.
I got an Invisible Shield for my iPod Video, but this sounds like complete overkill.

I would also like to add, I have one of these for my 5G iPod video. It is easily the best iPod related purchase I have ever made. My iPod still looks like new and I routinely carry it in my pocket, toss it in my bag, and throw it around in my car. At a casual glance you cannot even tell it has anything on it. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Hey guys. I post here a lot so this is not mindless spam. I ordered one of these before I returned my Macbook. I have not even touched it. It is still in its original box. If someone would like to buy it shoot me an email. I'll give you a deal.

i put a shield on my macbook pro about a week after i bought it. i was very maticulous and it paid off. i also have one for my ipod and it makes me feel alot better. i was always afraid to wear my watch while typing. plus when others feel like putting their grimmy hands on my baby i can rest a little easier.

I put on my MacBook Pro almost immediately after getting it. It was a pain in the arse to put it on, and it still doesn't look good. It has bubbles and what looks like glue between the 'Book and shield. I'm hoping it will scratch soon, so I can replace it, but I know that won't happen.

cool!

I was actually going to put up the same sorta thing, I applied my invisibile shield full body shield for macbook a couple weeks ago and took the pics already...

just haven't got around to it.

I think it's a must have,

+it makes the scratches that were already present, dissappear.
+bubbles (big and small) really do dissappear after a day or two
+pre-cut for you
+lots of spray solution given

-hard to get the big piece for the top cover onto it without big bubbles
-hard to not get little pieces of lint caught under
-applying the one for the touchpad makes touchpad movement hard, more friction when moving with your finger... i'd say its like touching window glass
