Facebook begins iTunes promotion, giving away 10 million samplers
Facebook, the MySpace of the EDU world (and the 7th most trafficked site in the US), has announced a back-to-school promotion involving the iTMS and 10 million music samplers. They will be giving away 1 million 25-song samplers each week for the next 10 weeks, with genres including Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop and Electronica.
It appears that one only needs to visit Facebook to see banners like this, which are linked to the download at Apple's site, so go forth and download, iTunes and Facebook users.

You forgot to mention that Facebook, unlike MySpace, does not suck. Non-customizable pages + no auto-loading music = good. And the HTML is prettier.

I'm on facebook... I use iTunes... I like free music! It's like this post was made just for me!
Seriously though, it's things just like this that keep me reading TUAW every day (more recently via RSS). Keep up the good work, TUAW bloggers.

Works great, got the code but all i get from the music store when i enter it is the following;
"An error occured. The Music Store could not process your request, please try again later."

You've always needed an invite or college email to join Facebook. Keeps a bunch of the bad crowd out and prevents people from having multipule accounts.

It's right on the main homepage of Facebook when you log in, or, go to the offical global group of Apple for the link. A message will be sent to your inbox on Facebook, follow instructions.

Below is a link to the album you get from iTunes + Facebook. This is an excellent idea for a promotion: iTunes gets access to the perfect demographic. Although the vast majority of Facebook users already have heard of the iTMS.

Any of you fine folks in a non-US locale with a code want to hook a guy up? I tried to join facebook, but alas, my HS requires invites and none of the people it suggested particularly like me (they're the "in-crowd" and I could care less)
