Phone drivers in iTunes 7 for iTunes Phones, not an iPhone

Lots and lots of people have emailed us about the phone drivers that are included in iTunes 7. Most folks seem to think that this is a sign that Apple will shortly be releasing an iPhone.
It isn't.
These drivers are for the iTunes enabled phones, such as the recently announced RAZR V3i, available from Cingular. Sadly, the Motorola iTunes phones still have a 100 song cap, but they new have the sexy RAZR form factor.
Sorry, no iPhone here.

The V3i is great, syncs with iTunes 6 and 7. Get and unlocked phone and use it on any network (quadband phone). 100 song limit sucks. GREAT FOR PODCASTS!

They just seem like generic strings for any future game/video/music enabled phones, which may or may not be made by Apple. They could just as easily be referring to future Motorola phones.

Meh, who am I kidding, and iPhone would be better.
All signs point to this being for an iPhone not Motorola's iTunes phones. Once again TUAW does a bang up job of journalism...
