iTunes: Free Tuesday
Welcome to iTunes Free Tuesday. Each week I find the latest of what's free at the iTunes store and post it for your enjoyment. Here's the newest free US Audio tracks.
US: Don't Get It Twisted (Radio Edit) by Mr. Capone-E featuring Twista
"The King of Latin Rap" tones it down a bit on the title track of his newest album. Marked by some silky smooth loops and hustling rhymes, Capone-E dives into the laid-back California funk style. Guest MC Twista adds his lightning-quick alliterative skills to this vocoder-heavy track. Get it today as our free Single of the Week.
US: Poison Pushy by Stanton Moore
Founding member of the funk/jam powerhouse known as Galactic, drummer Stanton Moore pursues a (unsurprisingly) percussive-heavy vision into the heart of the groove. "Poison Pushy" is a thick slice of soul jazz with heavyweights Will Bernard and organist Robert Walter helping out. Enjoy it for free as part of our Discovery Download series.
US: Nunca by Rigo Luna
Rigo Luna was once a member of the group Nu Flavor, whose "Heaven" was a big hit in the late '90s. His solo material digs further down into the R&B world, coming up with tracks the are slick, but ripe with hard rhymes and occasional thick beats. The heart-wrenching "Nunca" is our free Single of the Week.
More fun and freebies after the jump...
Next up, this week's free US Videos:
US: 30 Rock, Episode 103
Jack plays matchmaker, setting Liz up on a blind date - Confident he can fix both Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey) sketch show and sex life, overbearing boss Jack (Alec Baldwin) sets Liz up on a blind date with his friend Thomas. With Liz readying herself for her blind date, Jack infiltrates the writers' weekly poker game.
NBC Nightly News Podcast
With Brian Williams.
US: Skyland - Dawn of a New Day, Part 1
The year is 2251, and the Earth has been shattered into millions of blocks that now drift aimlessly in orbit around the Earth's core. This area now known as "Skyland" is governed by the mad dictator, Oslo. His telekinetic or "Seijin" powers have allowed him to seize control of the area's most precious resource: water.
US: Rob & Big Episode 101
In this reality buddy comedy, professional street skater Rob Dyrdek and his best friend and bodyguard, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin, share a house in the Hollywood Hills, bouncing from one ridiculous moment to the next. Along with their mischievous little Bulldog, "Meaty," the unlikely trio make the world their playground and hit the streets on a constant quest for adventure and laughs.
And to round off this weeks' freebies, the International Edition:
Australia: Feel by Dan England
You may remember Dan England from last year's season of Australian Idol, but now he's on his own, allowing his original songs to take centre stage. Lifted from England's self-titled mini album, "Feel" is a Steely Dan-esque track that's the ideal highway getaway tune. It's also our free Single of the Week.
Canada: Habit Over Heart by Novillero
Novillero deliver scratchy, swirling R&B-tinged indie rock that comes off sounding like a basement British Invasion band after having their minds blown. This searing live version of "Habit Over Heart" was recorded exclusively for CBC Radio 3. It's the second of three tracks from the Radio 3/Mint Records archives, as we celebrate Mint's 15th anniversary. In the meantime, enjoy this free Single of the Week.
France: Poupée de chiffon by Mayane
UK: Bullet by Nikola Rachelle
Nikola Rachelle's fluid soul-folk has the ability to transfix audiences with her quavering, melancholic musings. Her arrangements show a diversity of interest, framing bits of late night piano against slinky, soulful rhythms. She also has a knack for pop infectiousness, as evidenced by "Bullett" - our free Single of the Week.

I'm registered on the UK iTunes Store. I go there every Tuesday hoping the freebie will be worth downloading. Either the Apple write-up puts me off (as above) or I click to send it to my shopping cart - and shudder when it shows all the other similar artists...and then I go about my business.
They should change the Free Download logo to brown.
