Airport Extreme showing up in retail stores

Apple Portland Store has had them for over a week - tho the local Mac dealer has not - so Apple is definitely favoring their own stores, which is sad because the dealers were here over a decade before Apple showed up - And in the hard times of Apple too.

I went last wednesday, and randomnly saw they had 5 left. I ran like a lil boy and snatched on. 20 minutes later they were all gone. Crazy! It's not even that great! Speeds are 'ok' not life altering, still can't handle HD footage!

ON a whim, I call the the Santa Monica CA store Saturday morning. To my suprise, they said they had them. Got there an hour or so later, and grabbed ther last one on the shelf. Didnt get around to setting it up until Sunday. Tastes great, less filling!

Got mine nearly ten days ago. Like #10 above, I canceled my online order and bought in-store.

I bought one yesterday from the Trafford Centre too. Have to say though, it's the first Apple product I've bought that I've been extremely disappointed with. The wireless aspect works fine, but disk sharing seems extremely flaky to me - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Documentation and the software is poor too - it all has a very 'rushed' feel about it. Until there is an update available, mine has already been relegated to the shelf, back in the box.

Bought an Airport Extreme in the SoHo store in New York last Friday, they had plenty of them. Very happy with it after installing it.

The Skokie, IL Apple Store (Old Orchard mall) has them too.

I saw them two weeks ago at the Barton Creek Mall (Austin, TX) Apple Store.

I picked one up at the weekend from the new Southampton store in the UK. I'd seen them a couple weeks before in the Blue Water store...also. The online store takes too long.
