14?!
Where are they? The nearest one to me that I'm aware of is London (approx. 60 miles).

Actually, there's 9 existing UK Apple Stores:

plus 4 planned stores, plus this one = 14

I doubt very much you'll be able to see anything. Liverpool 1 is a 42 acre building site at the moment so you'll probably not get anywhere near the location until the complex is open.
This is a major reatil investment for Liverpool which ties in with the regeneration around the City due to the European Capital of Culture status awarded to the City for 2008.
Liverpool has seen billions being invested in the City over the past 4 years so it will be one of the top places to visit in 2008.
The new Apple store is the icing on the cake :-)

I second that Callum. No stores at all in Scotland is fairly bad.

An Apple store in liverpool, well you better get extra security and make sure everything is nailed down, as well as strip search all the customers and staff :-), otherwise I'd get better discounts on Apple gear in the pubs in the surrounding badlands:-)

This is great news! I'm sick of travelling to Manchester's Trafford Centre to get my Apple fix. I imagine they'll be sticking it on Chruch Street, as a lot of big shops are closing there.

I'm really glad.
Manchester has two stores now, and being two hours on the train away it's a real drag if I want to get anything sorted. Liverpool is only 45 minutes, and I should be living there in six months.
