Rig of the Week: We're late again

Yes, Rig of the Week is late again. You still love us, right?

This week's entry is a sweet home/office server. A Mac mini, two 500GB external drives (one for backup, one for media), two 250GB FW drives (set up as a RAID), a D-Link Wireless G Gaming Router with Gigabit Ethernet and a D-Link Gigabit Switch look very nice on top shelf of fabrico's closet. He notes that this closet - and, in fact, his whole apartment - was already wired before he moved in. Lucky guy.

Daryn, this is my setup featured here and there is no monitor hooked up; I administer the server as needed via Remote Desktop from my MacBook Pro (which is my primary machine).

The cases below the Mini look like NewerTech MiniStacks, either v1 or 2. I have a v2, and it's cool, and not too loud :) Too bad my Mini is only a G4. No point in getting it a GigE switch :(

Wish my mac mini setup looked this neat. Mine is so crazily cobbled together that the whole thing crashes if you just so much as look at it funny. I suppose having an apartment pre-wired for broadband helps (wish mine were).

I've had nothing but trouble with those Macally enclosures. The first one I had destroyed the partition on 3 different hard drives. They sent me a replacement and this one is acting wonky too. So I dunno what the deal is.

Those Macally hard drive cases are the bestest.

You didn't link the photo to the flickr page, sadly. :(

Sweet setup though... Where's the rest of his machines?
