Flickr Find: More pics of zombie attack on Apple Store SF

As we Twittered a few hours ago, CNET reporter Declan McCullagh narrowly escaped zombie-fication as a 'flash mob' of faux zombies descended on San Francisco's tony retail district on May 25. While other stores blocked the living dead from entering, apparently Apple employees were jockeying for ideal position to snap pictures of the shuffling, decaying spawn of hell. Now that's thinking really different.
In addition to McCullagh's photo gallery, reader Steve Rhodes has posted his pics of the invasion on Flickr for all to enjoy. Just remember: you've got to attack the head.
Thanks Steve!

So what makes the average PC user go into an Apple store I wonder?

So this confirms it. People regret getting an Apple while they were alive and want to get a mac! Or eat it rather... o.O

Sorry but I find this whole thing disturbing. People are so bored with their lives that they do this sort of thing? What about real causes to fight for there are tons here in the US and abroad. Thi whole things is so ridiculous makes me wonder where we are going as a country on the whole. Perhaps if a few bombs were dropping here like in other countires we would have something better to do with our time.

I'm with Catt on this one. Flash mobs are SOOO 2003. Four years later these nerds are still doing it? Move on. The fad is over. And zombies are lame. NEXT!

Fad? Bad? friend or foe, its always great that when the going gets tough a few zombies of entertainment can give us the brain bits of what's enjoyable about this thing called LIFE.

This is great.
I wish for once I would stop seeing, what about the bigger cause? posts. It is really annoying. Why do people assemble? Why do people have a freedom of speech? Why do people just want to have fun? People do not want to waste time on boring pointless matters because guess what Catt, people get taken advantage of, the moment you help them, they could care less about help from you because your feeding their needs, they DON'T care.
Stop wasting webspace with these irritaing posts to cause some damn political out rise out of some kids having a good time. If I as a person wanted to help someone, I would, but you have to enjoy getting pooped on to do those things, its not fun, get over yourself, please.
I salute these random gatherings of ridiculousness . This as a human being makes me happy, to see people having a good time. Get out and do this for yourself and see what kind of rush this type of thing has, I guarantee you will not say, I should have dumped a can into Uncle Sam's We Give Food to Chill....fat rich man's stomach.

Naturally they head straight for the Genius Bar. I love the shot of the guy with the "Got Brains?" T-shirt.

#4: Oh relax, it’s a bit of fun. If you can’t see that, and instead choose to focus on ‘real world problems’, you clearly need to take a CHILL PILL. America’s gone to pot anyway, so I don’t see how this will change anything.
Go zombies!

It is obvious that Congress needs to formulate a bill that bans any sort of public gathering for the pursuit of fun that offends someone like Catt. In "Catt's Bill", all Americans will be legally required to live and be as miserable as the most miserable person on the planet. You will not be allowed to be happy or have fun or you will face prison time.
Unfortunately, this whole scenario will have the unforeseen consequence of making Catt very happy, and thus, she will be thrown in jail as a result.

Guilty myself, we are so "task or outcome" driven, nice to see people just doing something for fun...

I agree, we should all just go around being extremely critical about our standard of living. In fact, maybe we should just start a war so that we all appreciate our lives instead of committing acts that lead to humor.
...yeah.

@ Mat Give me a break I'm not against having fun or throwing people in jail etal. If you really knew me you would know that. I'm just saying the whole thing is rather silly and these folks could be spending their time on more important causes that's all... Please don't go formulating any kind of bill on my behalf LOL. @ Zack dude your comments worry me... Boring. pointless matters? People don't care if you help them? Wow where do you get this crap from? Have you've spent anytime helping anyone out lately or do you just have fun all the time? A honest question really...

I was part of the zombie mob. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
I also volunteer to help run an international non-profit in my free time. And I know most of the soup kitchens and half-way houses in SF, from time spent working with them.
Saving the world and having fun are not mutually exclusive. Having talked to a few of the zombies, my guess is that is a group, they do more for humanity than most people in this country.
People who enjoy organizing tend to organize many things and people who enjoy upsetting the status quo will tend to do that in many ways as well.

Mike r: you seem to be well versed in volunteering for good causes. Please donate your talents and passion to removing all sticks from peoples' nether regions. Once the stick-from-butt removal is complete, the world will be safe once again for zombie invasions!!

this isn't actually the first zombie flash mob to descend on an apple store in SF. In July 05, I was there, though i'm no longer in the bay. eatbrains.com is the epicenter of it all.
