One MacBook, Well Done
We've seen scorched Macs before, but nothing quite like this. After a devastating fire at their Boulder home last week, Gwen and Paul returned to find their formerly sleek white MacBook decidedly crispier. From all of us at TUAW, here's hoping that they get back on their feet fast and back to doing whatever they do best.

Hey everyone,
FYI, this Mac is now onsale to raise money to help the victims of the fire (myself included) get back on their feet. Check it out on eBay:

Thanks!
Hi all, Gwen here (my photo, my housemate's computer). Couple answers to your questions. 1) It's not a turd. 2) The hard drive and everything on it was recovered. Incredible. 3) The macbook is going up on ebay. I'll let you know when that happens or you can check here for more info as the story unfolds: http://gwen.zaadz.com/blog. I own a black macbook and called back into the house for it to be rescued. I'm happy to say it is with me and going strong.

Not only the price of the notebook would be taken care of, but also tens time more than that in your pocket. Certainly IF you would want to sell it on E-bay. WHO WOULD? anyone???
That is *not* covered by warranty!

After seeing the other pictures and video I feel bad for the family. I'm glad they all are alive and lived to tell the story. It kinda sucks to come home and see all your stuff destroyed like that. here is wishing them good interaction with the insurance company and that they can find another home soon.
The Macbook does look like pizza...
Yes, but the important question is, did it boot?
