Rig of the Week: Cool Cube mod
This week's rig comes from reader nash_h, who modded a Cube to look like a tiny Mac Pro. First of all, we love Cubes and secondly, this is one sweet mod. Nice job, nash_h."new mac pro" posted by nash_h.
If you'd like to see your own rig featured here, simply upload photos into our group Flickr pool. Each Sunday we'll comb through the most recent entries and declare a "Rig of the Week!"

Hehe, I'd call it the Mac Pro Mini

Journalism (according to Merriam-Webster):
-noun
an academic study concerned with the collection and editing of news for presentation through the media or the management of a news medium.
I would have to disagree with you when you say what transpires here is not a form of journalism. However, one could argue that TUAW seems to lack journalistic credibility that is required of a legitimate news medium.

droors838, I'm shocked and dismayed that you would dare to call what transpires here as "journalism". A very dark day for the industry for sure.
If you (TUAW) had actually read the description of each image he admits that it isn't his mod and it is actually the "G5" Cube mod.

Whether nash_h is guilty of stealing the work of another modder is irrelevant. What concerns me is that no attempt was made to verify the authenticity of these supposed mods (ie. Rigs of the Week). Perhaps a more rigorous set of entry criteria should be established. Regardless, that's some sloppy journalism TUAW.
look, he fixed the names of it on his flickr page. so many people were sending him "hate comments" so he caved

July 08 2007 at 10:52 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replywow, that's 2 bad Rigs of the Week in as many weeks.
what's going on TUAW?
I'm not sure if anyone of you know that the current Mac mini was created with the exact same dimensions as many 3rd party card radios. This was done on purpose as apparently quite a few companies went to Apple asking for this.
This might just be a rumor but it seemed like a good reason for having those exact dimensions.
