Partridge Creek grand opening tomorrow morning at 10am

As more than a few of our readers have noticed, Michigan is set to receive its fifth Apple Store tomorrow, in the form of a new store at Partridge Creek (near Clinton Township). Apparently, it's not an Apple-only opening-- the whole mall is having a grand opening tomorrow morning, but we're told there will still be the usual Apple festivities (and t-shirts, which is really why you guys go to these things anyways, isn't it?).

And as usual, take a camera and capture all the goings-on for us, won't you? Especially keep an eye out for any new Leopard displays. If it's already shipping, maybe Apple will grab a head start on showing the new OS off in a new store.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

I second the call for one in the middle of the state. The Detroit area has SEVERAL Apple Stores, and the only other one is clear over in Grand Rabbits (that's Grand Rapids to non-locals) and I try not to go there if I can help it.

How about one in Lansing, Apple? Lansing Mall? East Lansing? Meridian Mall? COME ON GUYS! It sucks that I have to drive a little over an hour to get to the closest one in Ann Arbor.

We're the STATE CAPITAL for goodness' sake! We're a major college town!

Man, I really do not like those "lifestyle centers" or "walking malls". Who wants to have to park far off, then walk around OUTSIDE in the searing heat or freezing cold?

Yeah, I saw their little valet parking option and "heated sidewalks", but come on folks that is getting silly.

I think I may go, not sure yet. I live in Durand. I could care less if one goes in Flint or East Lansing. East Lansing is not so ghetto. Either one will work. I was surpised to find out they were putting another in Michigan too. I really want to head out there tomorrow. If anyone else is going to be there... I will be the geeky guy with the iPhone. Wait? Oh brother.

This will be the closest Apple store for me! I don't think I can make it tomorrow, but I am definitely looking forward to going... Leopard release for sure.

I was thinking about going to this, although Clinton is a bit of a hike from my house in Canton. I was shocked to find out they were building another one in the Detroit metropolitan area. The only one that isn't is the Grand Rapids store.

Umm...maybe because Ohio is the part of Michigan nobody wanted... There's nothing there, and you don't need an Apple store.

On the other hand, one in East Lansing sounds good, if not the mall, then somewhere in a strip...maybe by Potbelly's, then I won't have to walk so far. (disclosure: I'm from Grand Rapids, so I've already got my store :) )

Actually, They need a store in the mid-michigan area. I mean, heck, even East Lansing Carl would suffice. Mine as well put one in Flint.

What's with the mid-week opening? It's just down the road from my work, but I can't make it. I guess they have to coordinate with the opening of the rest of the mall.
